Risen Institute Courses and Bible Studies
The Institute program consists of various courses and Bible studies offered at different times throughout the calendar year.

Courses
Part of the church’s role in discipleship and Christian formation is equipping the mind so that it can lead the heart. As we work toward deeper affections for God, we must learn more about him—his nature, his character, and his work in the world through Jesus.
Risen Collective Institute exists for that purpose: to equip the mind for the sake of leading the heart.

Four Pillars of Risen Institute
Bible Studies
Through the Risen Collective, Bible studies are designed to give participants the confidence to know and live God’s Word. We believe that God primarily speaks to us through Scripture. We carefully walk through books of the Bible to hear from Jesus through his Word. Our studies incorporate personal study and guided group discussion with an aim to learn in community.
Bible study leader training is provided by the Risen Collective.

The Risen Equip Podcast
The Risen Equip Podcast is a resource from Risen Church’s Equip ministry, designed to deepen listeners’ understanding of Scripture and Christian living. It features Bible study sessions, such as a comprehensive series on the book of Ruth, and topical discussions on subjects like parenting and mentorship. The podcast aims to support spiritual growth and discipleship within our church community. You can listen to the podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Mission Trips
Zimbabwe (June 2025)
In partnership with RiverCross Global, ten members from Risen North and Risen Northwest went to Zimbabwe in June of 2025! The team participated in a RiverCross summit, which provided tools and training to trauma counselors. The Risen Collective also sponsored a “Freedom Club,” which is a group of students who received council and care based on their specific needs. The team spent a day getting to meet these students and built relationships with them. Some members of the team also trained local pastors and began building a long term relationship with area ministry leaders.

Retreats
The Risen Collective brings churches together for men’s and women’s retreats. These weekends give an opportunity for rest and building relationships that strengthen our walk with Christ. Through teaching, worship, and shared time over meals and other fun activities, we’re reminded of the hope of the gospel and invited to grow deeper in the truth of that good news!
